Delhi Museum Tour

At 9:30 AM, Our representative would meet & greet you at your hotel / address in Delhi and would introduce your tour to you. At 10 AM, we visit National Museum.

NATIONAL MUSEUM – It is a veritable treasure house of India’s glorious past. It houses among its collections the 5,000 year-old relics of the Indus Valley civilization, varied exotic paintings, old manuscripts and mural paintings from Buddhist shrines in Central Asia. National Museum is the cultural gateway into India. Set up on August 15, 1949 the museum showcases antiques and historical memorabilia ranging from sculpture, carvings, paintings, jewelry, manuscripts, arts and crafts.

At 12 PM, we start the tour of Gandhi Memorial and Museum.

GANDHI MEMORIAL & MUSEUM – Gandhi Smriti formerly known as Birla House or Birla Bhavan, is a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, situated on Tees January Road, formerly Albuquerque Road, in New Delhi, India. It is the location where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life and was assassinated on 30 January 1948. It was originally the house of the Indian business tycoons, the Birla family. It is now also home to the Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Museum, which was established in 2005.

1:30 – 2:30 PM, we take a lunch break. At 3 PM, we start the tour of National Gallery of Modern Art.

NATIONAL GALLERY OF MODERN ART – It is the premier art gallery under Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The main museum at Jaipur House in New Delhi was established on March 29, 1954 by the Government of India, with subsequent branches at Mumbai and Bangalore. Its collection of more than 14,000 works includes works by artists such as Thomas Daniell, Raja Ravi Verma, Abanindranath Tagore, Rabindranath Tagore, Gaganendranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Jamini Roy, Amrita Sher-Gil as well as foreign artists, apart from sculptures by various artists.
